England U15 Squad Selected for Copenhagen Tournament

England Under-15’s have named a 12-man squad ahead of next weekend’s annual Copenhagen tournament which runs from 17-19 June.

Jesse Sazant once again leads the team as Head Coach with the Under-15’s having won three of their five games at last year’s tournament.

“I’m really looking forward to coaching this group in Copenhagen,” Sazant told Hoopsfix.

“Every year I feel honoured to be able to take guys on their first international experience representing their country.

“This group has really worked hard throughout the process. The impact of their club, regional and RPC coaches has played a significant part in their development.

“This tournament is an ideal learning experience for the U15’s – helping the players to prepare for possibly representing GB in future years.”

The 12-man squad is as follows:

* replacement for Veron Eze, who picked up an injury in training.

England Under-15’s have been drawn in Group A alongside Lebanon, one of Finland’s two participating teams and German side Niedersachsen.

Their schedule is as follows:

17 June – v Finland White U15 (8:30am UK time)
17 June – v Niedersachsen U15 (2pm UK time)
18 June – v Lebanon U15 (12pm UK time)

The group winners advance to the semi-finals, while the rest of the teams play for positions in the classification stages 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16.

Last year, England Under-15’s finished in ninth place in the Copenhagen Tournament after finishing with a 3-2 record.
