With the eleventh week of the college basketball season completed, we take a look at all the top performing Brits in NCAA Division 1 in the past seven days.

Player of the Week

Senior centre Gabe Olaseni pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds, including 11 offensive, and scored 9 points in 23 minutes although Iowa were beaten 67-63 at Purdue. The 23-year-old gave a pretty tough self-assessment post-game and has been wearing a protective boot as a precaution for an ankle injury sustained.

“On the boards, I did a pretty good job,” he said, via HawkCentral. “I could’ve gotten a couple more down the stretch.”

“Offensively, I don’t think I played very well,” he added. “I definitely could have made more free throws or open jumpers that I always make. It’s a long season. We have over 10 games left, and every experience is a learning experience.”

Centre Ben Lawson produced 6 blocks in an 83-74 win for Western Kentucky, whilst adding 6 points and 4 rebounds in a 27-minute display. In a following 69-56 defeat, Lawson added 2 points and 3 boards.
