David ‘TinTin’ Watts Joins Nottingham Hoods in Homecoming

NBL Division 2 side Nottingham Hoods have pulled off a real coup for the club after announcing the signing of former England international, David ‘TinTin’ Watts.

The experienced forward returns to his home-town having spent last season in Division 1 at Derby Trailblazers following on from a four-year spell in the BBL.

Watts made his debut in the top-flight with Worcester Wolves in 2010 before moving on to Manchester Giants, and the 33-year-old is now delighted to be back in Nottingham.

“After a career both here and in Europe, it feels great to be home,” he said.

“Representing an amazing city and playing alongside some great home-town players.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and excited about the challenges of the season.”

Nottingham finished fourth in Division 2 last season and will be hoping to improve on that in their quest for promotion.

The likes of Lucasz Siczek, Kirk Davis and captain Kieran Wright have returned for the new campaign, while former Loughborough coach Liam Jefferson, is a new arrival.
