Walker’s Greyhounds Take Down Gaels

February 15, 2010 8:49 am 0 comments

A potential battle of the Brits never materialised in Iona’s 70-62 victory over Loyola (Md.) on Sunday.

Loyola’s Shane Walker, who hails from Northampton, finished with 4 points (1/6 shooting, 0/1 from three, 2/2 at the line), 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block before fouling out in 26 minutes.

Unfortunately, Iona’s Ben Mockford from Shoreham-By-Sea registered a DNP.

The Gaels are now 19-8 (11-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) whilst Loyola stand one game below .500 at  12-13 (5-10)
