Newcastle Eagles routed London Capitals 112-66 last night in a meeting between the second team from the top and bottom of the BBL.

The game was still close after the first quarter with the Capitals leading by 1, 17-16. From there on out, it was plain sailing for Newcastle who had a 37-point third quarter and a 32-point fourth, outscoring London 69-38 in the second half.

Charles Smith led the Eagles with 29 points, whilst Ibrahim Gariba finished with 23 for Capitals.
