GB U20s Fall to Finland in Prep Opener

Great Britain Under-20s fell 60-79 to Finland in their preparation tournament opener in Portugal on Friday evening.

Seventeen points from Akwasi Yeboah would not be enough, as GB trailed the rest of the way after losing their early lead midway through the second quarter, whilst a 15-5 burst from Finland in a six minute period down the stretch saw them pull away for the final result.

Carl Wheatle had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals, whilst Obi Agu and Josh Steel added 7 points a-piece.

GB will look to bounce back tomorrow when they take on the hosts, Portugal, at 5pm.
