Calvin Morant-Hudson produced an impressive 54-point display last weekend to guide Mansfield Giants to a 93-87 road win in D3 action.
The former Worcester Wolves guard broke the all-time individual points record for the club with a career-high feat against Sefton Stars, which included nine 3-pointers.
“I just started getting in the groove and felt really good in the third quarter,” Morant-Hudson said. “After I hit my second shot in the third I could tell I was ‘in the zone’ and was just trying to do whatever I could to help us win.
“What shocked me was my teammates whole response. They felt good for me doing that and they felt good being a part of it. I think with that, that was the most special thing to me.”
The 22-year-old has been in scintillating scoring form this season with a number of 30+ games alongside team-mate Mike Buffalo.
