PAWS London Capital Withdrawn From EBL Competition

England Basketball have officially confirmed that PAWS London Capitals have had their spot in EBL Division 2 withdrawn for the 2013/14 season.

In a statement given to Hoopsfix, England Basketball state:

“PAWS London Capital were withdrawn from all competitions for failing to fulfil National League obligations. They were not excluded from the leagues (as their entries were accepted during the off-season) but since that time the club have not met the necessary obligations to remain in the league.”

Capitals had already been thrown out of this season’s Patron’s Cup after failing to fulfil a single fixture. It has been a quick descent for the club, being removed from the British Basketball League in 2010.
