Matthew Bryan-Amaning has joined the London Lions on a short-term deal whilst waiting on a contract abroad.
It represents a major coup for the Copper Box based side, as the 6’9″ GB forward returned to the UK last week after being released from South Korean side Anyang KGC.
The 25-year-old athletic forward will make his BBL debut on Thursday night against Worcester Wolves.
“We’re happy to have Matthew on board,” said Lions Head Coach Vince Macauley. “He is the premier British baller of his generation.
“The Lions are the new home of London basketball, and it’s great to have eight of out ten players from London. The fans will love watching him play.”
It won’t be the first time MBA will suit up for the Lions, having played in an exhibition against Iowa University in pre-season before he headed overseas.
He signed his rookie deal in 2011-12 with Hacettepe in Turkey.
