GB star Joel Freeland’s NBA rookie season has gone from bad to worse as he has been assigned to the Portland Trailblazers’ D-League side Idaho Stampede today, to play in two Development League games, general manager Neil Olshey has announced.
The 6’11” big man, who hasn’t played the last two games, will join Idaho for games against the Santa Cruz Warriors tonight and Saturday in Boise. For the season, he is averaging 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 10.2 minutes, making appearances in just 12 games.
Worth noting – D-League games stream live on YouTube. An upcoming schedule of live games to be broadcast can be found here. Both Friday night’s game and Saturday night’s game will be shown (H/T Blazersedge).
