NBA 2019-20 Schedule Includes Record Number of Primetime Games in Europe

The NBA today announced that the 2019-20 NBA regular season will feature a record 48 primetime games in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as part of the league’s ‘NBA Saturdays’ and ‘NBA Sundays’ primetime initiative.

For the first time, a primetime game will be available to fans both on Saturday and Sunday from the start of the season. The NBA’s full regular-season schedule was released yesterday, with the 74th regular season tipping off on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 and concluding on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.

With more earlier scheduled tip-off times for games in the U.S. than ever before, fans in the region will be able to watch weekly live primetime games on Saturday and Sunday starting at 8.00pm CET from the start of the season, providing fans with a full weekend of primetime NBA action.

Some of the league’s biggest stars will feature as part of the weekend primetime games schedule, including James Harden, Kyrie Irving, LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, and international players including 2018-19 NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Dončić, Rudy Gobert and Nikola Jokić.

Fans will also be able to catch the NBA Paris Game 2020 presented by beIN SPORTS live in primetime on January 24, when the Charlotte Hornets host the Milwaukee Bucks.

Some key ‘NBA Saturdays’ and ‘NBA Sundays’ European primetime games to note down:

Week 1: The Miami Heat featuring Jimmy Butler take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at 11pm CET on Saturday Oct. 26. While the 2019 NBA Finalists the Golden State Warriors’ take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at 8:30pm CET on Sunday Oct. 27

Week 2: The 2019 number one NBA Draft pick Zion Williamson makes his European primetime debut with the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday Nov. 2 as they take on Italian Danilo Gallinari and the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10pm CET

Week 5: The Dallas Mavericks featuring Luka Doncic travel to Houston to take on James Harden and Russell Westbrooks’ Rockets on Sunday Nov. 24 at 9:30pm CET

Week 9: The 2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors host the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday Dec. 22 at 9:30pm CET

Week 20: The new-look LA Clippers featuring Kawhi Leonard and Paul George host their cross-town rival Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis on Sunday Mar. 8 at 9:30pm CET
