Hi. Can you tell me that how much are the basketball player in uk earn? Im thinking about playing basketball and i just want know how big/small this money is.

Fairly varied depending on your ability, top players in the BBL probably earning no more than £15,000 a year, most will earn less.

Flinder Boyd was joking with Andy Betts on Twitter, saying he should leave Spain and come back to Leicester to play for £200 a week. Not sure if that's really a typical wage but if it is, would work out to £10,400 a year (though the players are only paid during the regular season so the actual amount they get would be less than that).

I'm pretty sure import players get their accomodation provided by the club, and possibly also a company car? So the value of the package in that case would probably be closer to £15,000-£20,000.

I'd love to see a real in depth breakdown of BBL player salaries as it's something a lot of people are really interested about. But yeah, from what I gather it really isn't a lot.

I remember reading in a book a few years ago that when Amaechi was in the BBL back in the day (obviously when it was closer to it's height in popularity) he was on about £50k a year.

I heard from someone involved within a BBL team, that the top players in the league earn as much as £3000 per month and that they get accommodation and a courtesy car.

They certainly get paid accommodation and many get a courtesy car. Tbh though I think the simple fact is if that players could earn up to £36,000 a year in the BBL then we would have a much higher standard of player than we do...
