Default GBsport.tv Basketball Streaming

Hi all,

I would really like to get your views on a number of things. GBSport.tv is launching a new online player dedicated to streaming lots of sports including Basketball. We are passionate about bringing British sports to the fans for free while offering the best coverage possible.

With this in mind I would like to get some real fans opinions of what events you want to see and how would you like to be contacted about these events?

What do you like to do while watching sport? E.g. chat box, forum area etc.

What other aspects of the sport would you like to be covered? E.g. training videos, diet ideas or inspirational stories?

And finally how do you feel about using relevant advertising as a way of keeping the player free?

Feel free to share your views on any or all of these questions or anything else you would like to share with GBSport.tv and we will try our best to make it happen.

Thanks
Tom

For me, I would love to see all of GB's games streamed first and foremost. That would be great. After that, GB U20s stuff, followed by other national team programmes-England U18s/16s etc.

I liked the facebook chat box that FIBA did on their live stats at the euros this summer, thought it was great and that would be a pretty cool feature to have with the livestream.

I've personally got no problem with relevant advertising to keep the player free as well...

No problem with targeted advertising at all.
Priority for me would be GB mens national team, then mens u20s, then the rest but agree with the other comments above pretty much.

Commentators who are knowledgeable about our team and the opposition. This is a big thing that the BBC almost always mess up, for example.

Personally not particuarly bothered about in-game features like chat, etc, I have twitter for that, but it wouldn't do any harm if it could be turned off or hidden according to preference.

Sounds good, hopefully it takes off.

Fully agree with Sam's post. Would like to see streaming from all Eurobasket games at all levels and other important games too (Team GB friendly tournaments, BBL etc)

Disappointed the stream wasn't made available from Tues, Wed and Thurs games- think with GB trying to raise the profile of basketball that was an opportunity missed

Cheers guys, some really great stuff here.

We are testing our player out this weekend by showing the test event. Its going to be hosted on the telegraph's website.

Watch live basketball: London Invitational from the Olympic Park featuring Team GB - Telegraph

Check it out! and as always your opinions on which bits you liked (or not) will be appreciated.

Watching the stream for small portions of yesterdays games, I thought it was pretty good. Read a lot of negative comments about the commentary, but the production values were decent.

One thing I would say though, is that you would run replays of the action during live play a lot, meaning you'd miss what was happening. Normally on broadcasts you'll see replays during stoppages-free throws/timeouts etc, and I think that would work a lot better,

Otherwise, pretty decent, great job!

Good stream. My only advise would be to not turn the game off when it's tied with 1.8 seconds left....
