The British Basketball League (BBL)is delighted to announce that they have signed a multi year deal with Memogo to deliver an exciting new range of multimedia solutions.

Initially the deal will see Memogo provide fully managed websites for the League and its member clubs which will include the hosting, design, build, and content management. Prior to the start of next season the two parties will also develop a range of products for fans including WAP services and the exciting prospect of an interactive on-line magazine for the sport.

Paul Blake Chairman of the British Basketball League enthused: "With the development of the Web 2.0 era we are delighted to be using Memogo’s expertise to meet the needs of the next generation of basketball fan. There is huge potential for growth in this area for the sport and we are looking forward to working closely with Memogo to exploit all of the opportunities available to us to enhance the overall experience for fans and media alike."

David Kerindi of Memogo said: “We are delighted to be working with the British Basketball League, its an exciting project, with an equally exciting set of deliverables. Our aim is to deliver to the fans information when it is needed via British Basketballs first digital magazine and websites on BOTH the desktop/laptop and mobile phones, in fact, any device with an Internet browser, and of course an Internet connection. It will be a high quality user experience regardless of screen size”

The first phase of the partnership will see the launch of the new network of websites in mid August.

About time to! The state of the majority of BBL team websites and the main site itself is laughable, this should go a long way in increasing access for fans and increasing coverage

Good move
