The British Basketball Federation has appointed Ian Curryer as their new Chair, taking on the role on a permanent basis, having been serving as Interim Chair.

“The challenge for British Basketball now is to continue to work with our partners within the game to continue to improve the popularity of the sport, increase success at a GB team level for both our women and men and ensure the sport is placed on a sound financial footing.

“It’s been a good summer so far for our junior teams, with our U18 & U20 men securing promotion to FIBA European Championship Division A. We hope to give all our players and teams the support they need, starting with our men who take on Europe’s elite in at FIBA EuroBasket 2017.”
