Kyle Johnson Reaches NBL Finals with London Lightning

Kyle Johnson has helped London Lightning reach the NBL Finals in Canada as they continued their perfect record in the playoffs.

The GB forward netted 19 points and added seven rebounds in a series clinching 100-112 road victory against Windsor Express last night.

Johnson is averaging 13.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in 40 appearances so far.

Earlier in the season, the 28-year-old dropped a career-high and franchise record 51 points back in February.

Former Bristol Flyers guard Doug Herring is also part of the Lightning roster as they now take their winning streak to a club record 15 games – eclipsing the 14 set earlier in 2017.

Lightning will now face either Halifax Hurricanes or Island Storm in the best-of-7 game Finals.

The franchise have won the NBL Championship twice in 2012 and 2013, but lost 4-3 in last year’s Finals to Halifax.
