Gabe Olaseni has joined Pro-A side Orleans for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, the club has announced.
The GB centre recently left Dinamo Sassari and joins Orleans to help boost their fight for survival in the French top-flight.
Olaseni averaged 6.1 points on 70% shooting and 3.8 rebounds in 13 games in Serie A action, whilst also making nine appearances in the Basketball Champions League.
The 25-year-old had a season-high of 17 points back in October and twice reached double figures in the BCL as well as netting at the buzzer to force overtime against Partizan.
Olaseni impressed for GB last summer with averages of 12.3 points and a team-high 7.3 rebounds in helping secure EuroBasket 2017 qualification.
This is Olaseni’s second year as a pro having spent his first season in Germany with Brose Baskets and then Giessen 46ers on loan.
Orleans currently have a 6-14 record in Pro-A with Olaseni set to go up against fellow Brit, Andrew Lawrence, who is at Chalons-Reims.
