‘Ball Out’ Partners with FIBA for 3×3 World Tour Spot

Ball Out, London’s biggest 3×3 basketball tournament, has partnered with FIBA to give the winner of their Elite Men’s Division an all-expenses paid trip to the FIBA 3×3 World Tour in Hungary and the chance to win a £30,000 cash prize.

Winners from the Hungary event will then progress on to the FIBA 3×3 World Championship with the chance of competing for a cash prize of £150,000 across all World Tour Events.

Hosted by the London School of Basketball and run in partnership with Midnight Madness, the tournament invites basketball players from all across the capital to come out and compete in any of the featured qualifying events for a shot at making the finals at the hallowed grounds of Ducketts Common.

“Ball Out started in 2014 with 6 simple outdoor summer youth coaching programmes and a borough wide tournament,” organiser Julius Joseph said.

“Now in 2016, the event has grown considerably to the point where we now are the official qualifying event for the FIBA 3×3 World Tour. FIBA 3×3’s endorsement provides the tournament with a huge platform and fantastic opportunity for the winning team from the men’s category to compete on a global stage. This summer is going to be very exciting!”

The three qualifying events will take place over a three separate weekends; one at Duckett’s Common (July 2/3), one at Ravenscourt Park (July 23/24) and the final qualifier at Cunningham Park (August 5/6). The U18 men and women, and U16 men categories will take place on the Saturday, with the Elite Men, Men and Women categories taking place on the Sunday.

All participants will receive a Ball Out T-Shirt, with entry costing £25 for adult teams and £15 for U18 teams.
