Lancashire Spinners’ Kyle Carey (1997 born) came up clutch this weekend, sinking a lay up with 0.4 seconds left to give the Spinners the lead and eventual 93-95 win over Worthing Thunder in Men’s NBL Division 1 at the Weekend.
“I felt confident having the ball in my hands,” said Carey as he finished with 15 points on seven-of-15 shooting from the floor, adding six rebounds and three steals in 21 minutes.
It was Lancashire’s fifth-straight victory overall and fourth in NBL Division 1 action. Carey was MVP of the Hoopsfix All Star Classic U19 game in May.
