Ben Mockford Returns to Promoted LEB Gold Side Caceres

Ben Mockford is making a return to Caceres after signing a one-year deal with the club he left during last season.

The GB guard left for personal reasons before joining Plymouth Raiders in the BBL, and is now heading back to the Spanish side who went on to earn promotion to LEB Gold.

Mockford averaged 11.2 points per game in the second half of the season with Plymouth including an impressive 60-point weekend that saw him record a season-high of 31 points against Cheshire Phoenix.

The 25-year-old broke into the GB Senior Mens side last summer for the EuroBasket qualifiers and made his mark with a strong showing against Bosnia.

Mockford signed his first professional deal with Caceres shortly after having graduated from NCAA Division 1 school St Francis College.

In 8 games of the club, Mockford averaged a team-high 13 points per game, becoming a fan favourite in the process.
