Basketball England Announce Under Armour Partnership

Basketball England have confirmed that Under Armour will be the new kit provider for all National Teams as part of a new partnership.

The deal has already begun, as reported by Hoopsfix last month, with England’s age groups to be kitted out by Under Armour at the upcoming Under-16 and Under-18 European Championships this summer.

As well as providing playing kit for players, coaches and management staff, Under Armour will also provide off-court apparel.

Under Armour recently attended National team camps with Raheem Idris and U18 international Andre Arissol (pictured above) among those to take part in the fitting session.

“Under Armour Teamsports are excited to partner up with the Basketball England,” said Damian Cooper, MD UA Teamsports. “Basketball is now a key global sport for the brand and we want to ensure that we provide Basketball England and all teams with the best product available and that looks good and performs for each player”.

Basketball England also confirmed that Under Armour will be supporting a grass roots initiative with incentives offered to clubs who want to purchase sets of playing kit.

“We’re delighted to be working so closely with Under Armour and are excited to collaborate to offer fantastic playing products for our national team set up,” said interim CEO Mark Clark.

“Making sure we provide our teams with the best the market can offer is important to ensure they can maximize their performance on court and build team spirit off it.

“Being able to offer incentive schemes to our clubs is a fantastic addition to the agreement and we hope our clubs will take advantage of this opportunity to work with one of the best sport brands in the world.”
