Brits Abroad – Week 20 Round-up

Justin Robinson produced a monster performance with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 assists to lead Apollon (11-6) to a 94-88 victory. In Ukraine, Ashley Hamilton had 10 points and 8 rebounds as Cherkasy (12-10) were beaten 83-75.

Rookie Fahro Alihodzic set new career-highs in points twice this week in Argentina, but Estudiantes de Concordia (13-19) suffered two defeats. The British-Bosnian centre had 21 on 8-12 shooting mid-week before scoring 26 points and adding 7 rebounds at the weekend.

Matthew Bryan-Amaning posted an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double for Soles (28-10), before scoring 21 points in the next game to help his side to two victories this week. Brampton A’s (14-14) recorded back-to-back wins over the weekend with Kyle Johnson contributing 15 points, 5 boards and 5 assists to the first win.

Pops Mensah-Bonsu posted a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, whilst adding 3 steals as AEK Athens (8-8) put up a fight in a 70-62 home loss to second-placed Panithanikos. Meanwhile, Ogo Adegboye had 7 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals as Aris (9-6) were beaten 76-60 at the weekend.

Nigel van Oostrum dished out 5 assists to go along with 5 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals in 32 minutes, although Leeuwarden (6-12) were comfortably beaten.In Sweden, Michael Ojo scored 12 points and had 4 rebounds in an 85-78 loss for Eco Orebo (5-22), while Will Neighbour enjoyed back-to-back wins with LF Basket (18-9).

Dan Clark scored five points in a 93-84 win for Fuenlabrada (5-16) as they ended their losing streak in Liga Endesa. Aaron Geramipoor had four points as Ourense lost 67-61 in LEB Gold action. GB guard Devon van Oostrum finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists in a 74-72 win for Penas Huesca (6-13) over Clinicas Rincon (5-16) as Mo Soluade had 5 assists in the loss.

Ovie Soko had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in a 92-77 road win for Boulazac (13-6). In NM1, Tafari Toney posted 8 points and 6 rebounds as Sorgues (7-13) suffered an 84-68 defeat. Eric Boateng pulled down 10 rebounds and had 3 points as Mulhouse (9-11) enjoyed an 81-74 win away from home.

Myles Hesson scored 11 points in a 92-61 loss with Bremerhaven (5-17) now nine games without a win. In Pro-B, Orlan Jackman had 19 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Iserlohn (15-4) suffering a second straight defeat.
