Joel Freeland Set to Miss At Least Two Weeks with Shoulder Strain

GB forward Joel Freeland is set to miss the next two weeks at least, Portland revealed an MRI confirmed.

Freeland suffered the injury to his right shoulder in the fourth quarter of the loss at home to Atlanta Hawks last night, with the Brit recording 4 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.

The 27-year-old has prospered from a run of starts for the Trail Blazers, averaging 5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game since his increase in game-time.

Freeland’s injury leaves Portland short at the centre position with Robin Lopez still out injured, and comes as a blow for the Brit just as an ankle injury around the same time last year did.
