BBL Week 8 – Highlights Round-up

The latest highlights round-up from around the league features four games this week including wins for Newcastle, Cheshire, Worcester and Durham.

Ralph Bucci came up big for the Wildcats with the game-winning 3-pointer (full video coming soon) to help defeat Manchester 70-67. The player-assistant beat the buzzer and finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds while Fran Urli also added a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards.

The Giants had also been action on Friday in a 90-81 defeat to Worcester in front of the BBL TV cameras. Wolves captain Alex Owumi top scored with a game-high 25 points to help his side avenge an earlier season loss to Manchester.

Newcastle Eagles maintained their position at the top of the league with a 103-93 home win against Glasgow on Friday night. Charles Smith top scored with 23 points from the bench in another impressive shooting display from the BBL veteran.

Bristol Flyers came close to adding another top BBL scalp in their debut season after building a double-digit half-time advantage before falling to an 86-73 defeat against Cheshire. Taylor King produced a game-high 27 points while Mike DiNunno and Demond Watt added 21 and 19 points respectively.
