Mo Soluade Being Considered for Malaga First Team Spot Next Season

Former England Under-18 Mo Soluade continues to develop in Spain as he is being considered for a spot on the ACB team next season, reports Spanish regional newspaper sur.es.

Soluade, part of the 1995 born ‘golden generation’, did not play with the Great Britain Under-20s this summer to stay in Spain and workout for the potential jump next season.

The 6’4″ guard played in LEB Gold last season with Clínicas Rincón, the feeder team for Unicaja Malaga, averaging approximately 12ppg, leading the league in three point shooting percentage.

Sur.es reports that Soluade “took a leap forward in all aspects” last season, improving not only physically, but his leadership skills and three point range.

Soluade signed with Unicaja in 2011 after helping lead the England Under-16s to Division A promotion while being named to the all tournament team with averages 11.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.8 steals and 1 block per game.

Soluade was also part of the England U18 squad that got a 9th place at the Division A European Championships in 2013, averaging 6.9ppg, 4.1rpg, 2apg and 2.7spg (second in the tournament).
