Dan Clark Signs with Laboral Kutxa in Spain

Dan Clark will return to the ACB this season after coming to a short term agreement with Laboral Kutxa, the club has announced.

The opportunity has arisen after a knee injury to Argentinian forward Leo Mainoldi at practice last week left the club looking for an immediate replacement. The two parties have agreed to a two month temporary contract, with an option to extend until the end of the season.

It means Clark will be reunited with ’93 born point guard and GB teammate Devon van Oostrum, who will be remaining with the ACB side this season. The 6’11” forward originally had signed with Zaragoza in the offseason, however, was released after a disagreement about treatment for an ankle injury highlighted in the club medical.

Clark insisted he was healthy, whilst Zaragoza’s medical team wanted surgery. The Londoner was then available to represent GB at Eurobasket, proving his fitness as he averaged a team high 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.

In Clark’s seven seasons in the ACB, he has career averages of 7.1 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.
