Joel Freeland Portland TrailblazersIt was NBA media day yesterday, meaning it was the first opportunity we got to see GB star Joel Freeland in his Portland Trailblazers kit and for the media to have a chat with him.

And as you’d expect, Freeland is remaining humble as he enters training camp. Talking to the Portland Tribune he said:

“I’m assuming that I’m just going to come in and do what I can to earn a position on the team, and hopefully the hard work will pay off. All I can do is play the way I play, play the way I know and learn. I can’t do any more than that.”

What do you think? How do you think Joel will do in the NBA this season?

Man, I hope Joel gets decent minutes this season. He’ll most likely be a back up at the 4 behind Aldridge. Oh… and when can we see this Bruce Bowen interview you recenty did?

The Bowen Q & A is 99% ready to go, I’m just waiting for a couple of images to use with the post. Hopefully I’ll get them today – as soon as I do, I’ll publish it!
