Though there is much debate about the greatest players of all time, there is pretty much a general consensus that Michael Jordan is the GOAT. Or I thought it was, until John Salley dropped this bomb during an interview with ESPN yesterday…even going as far to say that he’s not a top 4 player! What do you think? Let us know in the comments!

Kevin Mchale….. oh wow!

Salley*
Yes, but what, exactly, is meant by the “greatest” player.
In all professional sports, there are icons that redefine their respective leagues and in essence, become larger than the game. I can think of only 3…Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Muhammad Ali. Perhaps the most telling aspect that he is the GOAT, is that if you took away all of his offensive prowess and scoring titles, you would still be left with a top 10 all time player based on defensive merits alone. John Salley is a moron, plain and simple.
Although you might disagee with John Salley he is most certainly not a moron.
Plain and simple.
He makes some valid points, PUSH him left and knock him down when he takes off, but he has something that many people that say Jordan is the greatest of all time does not have, actual game experience against him and then other players that he thinks are better than him. The only problem is that he does not describe what greatest mean in his interview.
