England Under-18s secured a historic promotion to Division A on Sunday after beating Finland 73-59 in the third place playoff game at the Division B European Championships in Sarajevo.
It makes another successful summer for the talented 1995 born generation, who secured promotion for the England Under-16s last year.
Kingsley Okoroh had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks on 7/10 shooting, Rowell Graham added 15 points himself, Tyrell Isaacs had 13 and David Sainsbury pulled down 15 boards in just 22 minutes.
Luke Nelson, who averaged 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, including dropping 33 and 10 rebounds on eventual champions Bosnia & Herzegovina, was named to the all-tournament team.
Head coach Steve Bucknall’s side join the England Under-18 women who also gained promotion to Division A this summer.

Massive congratulations to everyone involved, this is a great achievement.
I watched these guys play in late July and they did not look like Division A material, so there’s obviously been a lot of work put in by the players and coaching staff since then. Well done!
So much for all the derogatory comments previously regarding the head coach and his demands of his players and training style.
One day, it will be realised just what is required from players to compete at this level.
These players have really done themselves proud to make the qualification, especially as they only lost by one point to Bos & Her, the eventual number one team.
Excellent job
I’ll be the first to order a slice of humble pie
