England U18s Advance to Semis, Despite Loss

Luke Nelson England U18s BasketballEngland Under-18s advanced to the semi-finals of the Division B European Championships on Thursday, despite losing 63-55 to Czech Republic.

Luke Nelson led England with 17 points, Lucas Stivrins had his best game of the tournament for 12 points, whilst Rowell Graham added 11 points and 9 rebounds.

England still finished top of Group E, and will face host nation Bosnia and Herzegovina in the semi-final on Saturday evening. They are just one win away from promotion to Division A, as the top three placed teams get promoted.

After a really close game the team lost against Bosnia & Herz by one point 63 – 64.

However, the guys can still qualify if they win their next game, as first three teams qualify for Division A.
