GB U20s Finish 6th After Loss to Poland

Great Britain Under-20s 2012Great Britain Under-20s finished 6th at the Division B European Championships after losing 83-53 to Poland in their final game in Sofia, Bulgaria on Sunday afternoon.

Their final standing ties the 2010 GB U20 side, who also finished in sixth, for their highest ever finish.

Ali Fraser once again led GB with 15 points, whilst Devon van Oostrum added 13, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Grant Fiorentinos finished with 9 points, whilst Jesse Chuku had 8 points and 11 rebounds as every player saw minutes for the first time in the tournament.

Fraser (19.7ppg) and van Oostrum (19.6ppg) finished third and fourth in scoring in the tournament respectively, with DVO making the all tournament team adding 5.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists (1st) per outing (check a full breakdown of his stats here).
