During last year’s Eurobasket competition a camera crew followed the host team around from training camp in July through to their farewell meal in September.
‘Mes už Lietuva’ (We Are For Lithuania) shows a no-holds-barred account of life inside the squad of the basketball-crazy nation as they struggle under the pressure of an expectant population.
“While I still feel sorry that we could not give our fans the results they’ve all wanted in the summer of 2011, I am sure the viewers will be able to feel themselves as close to the team as is possible while watching this film.
The viewers will be able to breath that enormous pressure that a home championship has put on each member of the team, to feel and to see what was going on inside the team behind closed doors of the locker room.”
- Kestutis Kemzura (Head Coach)
The movie is released in Lithuania at the end of the month and will no doubt be available online later in the year.
