Allie Fullah Headed to Charleston Southern

Former Great Britain Under-20 Allie Fullah has signed to NCAA Division 1 school Charleston Southern.

Fullah, a 6’8”, 235 lb. forward/center (with a 7’2″ wingspan!), is a JUCO transfer having spent the last two seasons at College of Central Florida – averaging 8 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game while serving as team captain this season.

Talking to Hoopsfix about finally getting a chance to play D1, Fullah is excited:

“It feels like I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. If you know my story you know that I was supposed to play at UNH 3 years ago. This past season would have been my junior year there, but things didn’t work out that way. Being able to go up against some of the best players in college basketball is something I look forward to. I feel like I’m ready for the rigour of it all both physically and mentally – two years at a Florida juco will do that to you!”

Head coach Barclay Radebaugh is looking forward to having Allie as part of the programme:

“We are thrilled to add Allie to our basketball program. We set out this year to recruit some size inside to add to a talented returning group. We wanted a player who could play at our fast pace, defend a center, rebound effectively, and score in the post and from 15 feet. We accomplished our goals with Allie.”

Fullah won back to back conference championships with College of Central Florida, making it to the state finals this year before losing to the eventual national JUCO runners up Northwest Florida. He has been a starter as both a freshman and sophomore. He will have two years of eligibility remaining at Charleston Southern.

Hoopsfix wants to wish Allie all the best with his D1 experience!
