There are no bigger rivalries in college basketball than UNC-Duke and freshman phenom Austin Rivers lived up to the moment, scoring a career-high 29 points including the DEEP gamewinning three at the buzzer.
In the final two minutes and 38 seconds, Duke erased a 10-point UNC lead. Duke 85. Carolina 84.
After the game Austin admitted the relief that it went in:
“I swear the ball was in the air for like 10 minutes. My heart dropped. I shot it with confidence, but when I was walking back it looked good and I was like, ‘Please go in.’
“When it went in, my heart jumped. It was the best feeling I’ve ever had in my life.”
