Team GB: The Early Years

Great Britain Men’s team began camp last week, and whilst on my regular daily forage through the internet I came across an old school streetball.co.uk video which featured some of the current Team GB players in their early years.

It got me thinking, I wonder how everybody else looked back in the day when they were starting out? I did some digging, and this is what I’ve come up with. Shout out to everyone that helped out!

This trio have been best friends from their junior days in Brixton all the way up GB.

A certain Scot at a tender 18 years of age.

Still only a teenager in his second consecutive year called up to the intial men’s squad, here is a talented young point guard representing the Sheffield Junior Sharks at the final fours in 2006 aged 13.

I think these two had little idea at this point they’d someday be on the same team representing Great Britain.
