The Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders got a tough win on the road yesterday, beating Guildford Heat 92-87  behind 36 pts from Bradd Wierzbicki.

The Heat raced out to a 19-9 lead but couldn’t hold it as their lead was shrunk to 3, 22-19 at the end of the first quarter. It wasn’t long before Leicester took the lead, ahead 51-46 at the half. The game was tight throughout, with the lead changing 8 times before the final buzzer.

Guildford took an 82-80 lead on a Julius Joseph 3 pointer with 2:12 remaining, but couldn’t hold it with Leicester toughing it out for the win after a 5-0 run and a Tony Windless putback off a missed free throw.

Kenny Langhorne led the Heat with 23 points.
