Sharks Squeeze Past Worthing 105-100

Sheffield Sharks squeezed past Worthing Thunder yesterday 105-100 in a game that went down to the wire, ending the Thunder’s 7 game winning streak.

Sheffield were without player-coach Atiba Lyons and perhaps used that as motivation leading by 10, 55-45 at the half. They weren’t able to hold that lead though as Worthing were only down 2 going into the fourth.

Worthing were put in touching distance on a late 3 by Ryan Bratton but Perry Lawson kept his cool at the free throw line to seal the win.

Sharks are now two points clear of Newcastle at the top of the table.

Sheffield were led by Ryan Patton’s 26, whilst Reggie Bratton’s 28 and Kadiri Richards stat stuffing line of 10pts, 13rbs, 5asts and 2blocked shots lead Worthing.
