Jason Johnson Leads Leicester to Win Over Essex

Jason Johnson notched 17 points, 11 boards, 4 blocks and went 11 of 12 from the free throw line to lead the Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders to a 82-63 win over Essex Pirates yesterday.

Essex held a 24-18 lead after the first quarter, but it went all downhill from there, being outscored 23-14 in the second, 23-15 in the third and 18-10 in the fourth.

Randy George led the Pirates in scoring with 17 himself. Essex remain at the bottom of the table with a 3-18 record, whilst Leicester are in 6th, creeping above .500 standing at 11-9.
